Anubis:
Awesome 5 year old Neutered cat! style="font-weight: bold;">

Anubis
is a handsome cat. His birth date is 3-1-2004. He is a wonderful
affectionate big fat lap cat. He weighs about 16 pounds and is
neutered. He does great with other cats and has been around dogs. He is
an inside cat and needs to go to an inside home. He is litter box
trained. Anubis is current on all his vaccinations including rabies. style="font-weight: bold;">


Anubis
does have a flea allergy. He would need to stay on flea meds the
rest of his life. style="text-decoration: underline; font-weight: bold;">So
if you
don't intend on keeping frontline, advantage or any other GOOD vet
prescribed flea med on him please do not apply style="font-weight: bold;">. He gets sores on
him if a flea bites him. style="font-weight: bold;">


Anubis
will go to his new home with some brand new items. He will have
a carrier, litter box, litter box scooper, small bag of litter, small
bag of good cat food. style="font-weight: bold;">

pups were born 2-12-09. They are Australian  Cattle Dog (
heeler)/ Lab mix. The mother to them was a purebred ACD. They
are 
currently around 24 pounds. They should mature at around 40/50 pounds
when full grown. They are super sweet and very intelligent. They will
go
to their new homes started on leash training, potty training . They are
great with other dogs and seem to not mind cats. She has been vetted
and had her VET DOCUMENTED vaccinations , including her rabies
vaccination. She is current on deworming. style="font-weight: bold;">




Their

free roam of the farm here, and she seems to get
along with everything. She loves people. She is very devoted. She is
stuck to the back of your leg where ever you go. She has the most
beautiful dainty face and ears. She is an awesome dog. She was pulled
from a kill shelter in Bristol Tn. She will go to his new home spayed
and up to date on all vaccinations and dewormed.



Khia would be an awesome prospect for agility or fly ball! She is an
AWESOME dog! She needs means to get ample exercise everyday.



Khia's adoption fee is $130.00. She will be spayed before she goes to

Larry 6 mo Lab mix

Larry's birthday is 11-01-08. He is a lab mix. He is black and semi
long
haired. We do not know what he is mixed with. He does have really
webbed feet! He was pulled from the Sparta Animal Shelter. He will be a
large dog over 50 pounds when full grown. He is very very smart and
will make an excellent training project. He is current on his shots and
just had all his rounds of puppy shots. He is also has his rabies
vaccination. Larry is very
affectionate and easy going. He is a couch potato as well. He also gets
along good with other dogs and he don't mind cats.



Larry's
adoption fee is

Popeye
is a 1 year old Alaskan Malamute/ Lab mix. We had his
sister Tinkerbell a while back. Shortly before he came to Our Critters
he was shot by someone. His jaw was injured. With the help of a dear
lady whom took Popeye under her wing, she got him some vet care. The
vet  said Popeye would not need surgery. He had shot in his
jaw
that was picked out. The vet put Popeye on pain meds and antibiotics. I
took Popeye to my vet last week whom inspected Popeye's jaw and said
that Popeye was healing well and should make a full recovery. 
Popeye
also got his annual vaccinations including rabies at my vet. Popeye is
heart worm negative and he has been started on hw prevention.



Popeye is house trained, even though he had never been in a house till
he came here. He house trained himself. He will use puppy pads. He is
really quiet in the house and very laid back. He gets along with all
the dogs and cats here. He is really really humble. He is good with
kids no matter how small. He had never been
on a leash except when his friend took him to the vet. He is now leash
trained and he does really well. He does not do too well in the car. He
don't mind riding but he gets car sick. We have been trying to get him
used to that. Popeye is good with people and would be good with kids.
He is a little shy at first but once he gets to know you he is fine.
Popeye weighs 51 pounds.



Popeye is current on all vaccinations including rabies. He is hw
negative and on Sentinal hw prevention.



Popeye's adoption fee is $130.00 and his neuter is included in the
adoption fee. He will be neutered before he goes to his  new
home!

pounds. She is ok in the house. She gets along good with other dogs and
she does not mind cats. She is SUPER affectionate. She is current on
all VET DOCUMENTED vaccinations including rabies vaccination. She is
current on deworming. She will go to her new home leash trained and
spayed.

Ann: 1 yro Spayed Bloodhound/Redbone Female

Ann was pulled from the Patrick County Pound along with her
10 puppies.
The puppies have all found homes, and now it is time for Ann to find
one.



Ann is 1 year old per the vet. She weighs 70 pounds. She is updated on
vet documented vaccinations. She has been dewormed and is heartworm
negative.  She is spayed. style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 0, 0);">



Ann is very sweet and loves people. She rides well in the car. She
leads good. She has a good recall. She gets along well with other dogs.
She has been exposed to horses and cows. style="text-decoration: underline;">She does chase
cats.
This is
to be expected with a hunting dog. I do not know if she will hunt. We
don't hunt here! She needs a home with a big fenced yard or a farm
where she has room to roam.

George is a chih mix. Not really sure what he is mixed with, maybe min
pin. His tail is docked. He is around 3 years old.
He will weigha around 15 pounds. He is really sweet and likes other
dogs
and cats. He is very humble. He was pulled from a kill shelter in
Bristol Tn. He will go to his new home Neutered and up to date on all
vaccinations and dewormed. He loves riding in the car. George had a
really bad abcess that busted in his side. The vet said it could of
been anything that caused it. He came from the shelter with a huge knot
on him that busted a few days after he was here. He could have had a
splinter or something of that sorts stuck in him. The abcess has almost
healed all the way. He has finished up his antibotics. He needs to gain
a little weight still but we got him on the right track. He is an angel
in the house. You don't even know he is there. He is not yappy in the
least. He loves curling up beside you in the bed at night time.



There is a $130.00. The cost of his neuter is included in his adoption
fee. He will be fixed before he goes to his new home. You

( Special Needs Puppy)

Lucky's DOB is 1-27-09. She
is a hound/lab mix. She should
mature at
around 35 pounds. She is very good with other dogs and cats. She don't
mind horses or cows. She loves riding in the car. She is leash trained.
She is house trained. She is current on all her vet documented
vaccinations. She is a  very sweet puppy. It take her a tad to
get to know you. Once she warms up to you she will be ok. She is
accustomed to children and does well around them.



She is recovering from a broken leg and just got her cast/splint off.
The vet gave her a  clean bill of health at her last checkup.
The break was near her shoulder/elbow area on the front. She will never
have the full range of motion that the other leg has. She can walk
great and get around as good as any dog. She just has the stiff leg.
She is a beautiful dog and has so much to offer.



Lucky's adoption fee is $115.00. The cost of her spay is included in
her adoption fee. She will be spayed before she goes to her new home.

Jesse was born 12-31-08. He is an awesome german shepherd mix. He is a
loving fellow. He currently weighs about 30 pounds. He should mature at
around 40 to 45 pounds. He is house trained. He is leash broke. He
rides in the car well. He is neutered. He has all his puppy
vaccinations ALL VET DOCUMENTED. He is neutered and on hw prevention.
He is great with other dogs and he likes cats. He has been exposed to
horses and cows. Jesse would be a good fit for a home with a fenced
yard or farm where he can run and play.

Sparky& Spanky 3 mo Rat Terriers

Sparky( with the most white) and Spanky( with the most black)
are 3 month old male standard size rat terriers. They are current on
all vet documented vaccinations and dewormed. They will be neutered
before they go to their new homes and started on hw preventive. They
will mature at around 15/20 pounds. They have not been potty trained
yet, but we can start that and get them ready to do. Rat Terriers need
a home where they can get ample exercise. They are smart dogs and are
generally easy to train.



Adoption fee on these is $150 style="font-weight: bold;">each.
I would love to see them adopted together but it is not required.

Shad is a 1 yro Labradoodle. He weighs about 60 pounds. He is current
on all vet documented vaccinations and he is hw negative and on hw
prevention. He is also flea free and treated with Frontline.



Shad prefers women over men ( a single lady would be ideal for Shad),
but if a man is laid back and not over baring he would do good with a
man. He is ok with kids but would would rather him go to a home with
older kids (12 and older). He loves playing and due to his size he
would knock a little one down. He is great with cats and
could care less about them. He is good with dogs in general but he can
have conflicts with territorial males. Shad is not neutered BUT HE WILL
BE BEFORE HE LEAVES HERE. He is leash trained. We are working on some
basic training with him and some manners refresher. He also loves to
ride and he is crate trained and house trained.



Shad's adoption fee is $130.00. You must submit $65 for that upfront as
a neuter/holding deposit.

Been gone too long !

Hello All ,

        I sure hope you all are doing ok . Things have happened so fast since the last time I have posted. My husband has been in the hospital 2 times since Jan . The first time he was having chest pains and they found out he had diabete's .His heart was not getting the blood that it would normally cause the diabete's was keeping his blood vessels from opening up. He recovered from that and was put on a diet . Well March 1st he was in a bad accident at work and severed his fingers off . The dr's was able to reattach everything but it will never be the same. He will have limited use of his hand . I am thankful though he is alive . He along with 2 others could have been killed.God was watching after them all that is for sure.

      With my husband home we have been doing some spring cleaning . He is a lot of help even with just one hand.  We have made some major improvements here on the farm . Mainly just cleaning and tidying up. We have also started plans to get an addtional barn or shed row put up here at the house. We have a very large paddock here that we keep some horses in and the rest is in our larger pasture .

      We have a few new arrivals. We have an adorable little terrier mix dog that was set off at our place with a pretty long haired grey male cat. We named the dog Scrappy and the cat Elvis. They are sweetie's . We also have 5 new puppies . They are bull terrier/boxer mix's.  I will post some pictures of them on our web site when they get a little bit older.

     The horses are doing great . Scotty the Tb we took in last year from Maine has been a blessing to me . He has helped to heal my heart some what after losing my mare Brandy last year . ALthough she will never be replaced in my heart ...I can make room for another love . The other horses are doing wonderful and thriveing. They are busy munching the new spring grass that has came in .

Merry CHRISTMAS every one

      I hope everyone has a blessed Christmas and very fruitful New year . We sure oare looking foward to getting a fresh start to another year. Things have been crazy here at the rescue in 2005 ...so much loss and heartbreak...but I guess we have to accept that with the good.

      Just a update on things around here. Deztinee foaled oct 17th and it was born dead. It was a beautiful little bay filly . My heart was broke all over again. I am thankful though my mare is ok .

      Penny the mustang is doing great . She has fit right in with the crowd here. Blake has fell in love with her ...and she has him.

        We are getting ready to take in 2  mares that belonged to some one in the community . They are older mares and need some major weight put back on them . We are hoping to get them here the first of next week. I will feel better knowing atleast they get to eat . Older horses can't be maintained on just hay etc and dieing grass in a pasture.

          Stayed tuned for updates on the new horses...

New Member to our Helpahorse Family

           We have a new horse in . Her name is Penny. She is a 15 year old Mustang . She is sorrel with a white blaze and 2 white socks. She is about 14.2 hands tall. She has a medical condtion called Heaves ...what the old time use to called being WIND BROKE. It is a respiratory condtion that makes it hard for her breathe at times. We have started treating her with steroid injections and if that don't work we will move on to something more agressive . Penny is broke to ride for any one and with some theraphy she can be used lightly as a childs horse or light adult.She is a sweetie pie and loves people .Keep checking back for pictures that are to come very soon.

            I am still waiting on the arrival of our first purebred arab foal that is due any day now. Our arabian mare Deztinee is in foal to our arab stallion Granmoshahn. Her due date is Oct 22 but she can go any day now . Please pray for Deztinee and baby. I am so nervous after what happened to my mare Brandy a few months ago .
