Dear Friends,

    I offer a free animal placement service to anyone who needs help. It is kind of like Petfinder. Atleast that is my goal. I also take in animals of all kinds here at the farm. We currently have 16 rescue dogs,16 rescue cats, and 4 horses. We fund our efforts ourselves. What I make from doing webdesign and selling webhosting accounts goes to fund the efforts as well. Hello All ,

        I sure hope you all are doing ok . Things have happened so fast since the last time I have posted. My husband has been in the hospital 2 times since Jan . The first time he was having chest pains and they found out he had diabete's .His heart was not getting the blood that it would normally cause the diabete's was keeping his blood vessels from opening up. He recovered from that and was put on a diet . Well March 1st he was in a bad accident at work and severed his fingers off . The dr's was able to reattach everything but it will never be the same. He will have limited use of his hand . I am thankful though he is alive . He along with 2 others could have been killed.God was watching after them all that is for sure.

      With my husband home we have been doing some spring cleaning . He is a lot of help even with just one hand.  We have made some major improvements here on the farm . Mainly just cleaning and tidying up. We have also started plans to get an addtional barn or shed row put up here at the house. We have a very large paddock here that we keep some horses in and the rest is in our larger pasture .

      We have a few new arrivals. We have an adorable little terrier mix dog that was set off at our place with a pretty long haired grey male cat. We named the dog Scrappy and the cat Elvis. They are sweetie's . We also have 5 new puppies . They are bull terrier/boxer mix's.  I will post some pictures of them on our web site when they get a little bit older.

     The horses are doing great . Scotty the Tb we took in last year from Maine has been a blessing to me . He has helped to heal my heart some what after losing my mare Brandy last year . ALthough she will never be replaced in my heart ...I can make room for another love . The other horses are doing wonderful and thriveing. They are busy munching the new spring grass that has came in .

      I hope everyone has a blessed Christmas and very fruitful New year . We sure oare looking foward to getting a fresh start to another year. Things have been crazy here at the rescue in 2005 ...so much loss and heartbreak...but I guess we have to accept that with the good.

      Just a update on things around here. Deztinee foaled oct 17th and it was born dead. It was a beautiful little bay filly . My heart was broke all over again. I am thankful though my mare is ok .

      Penny the mustang is doing great . She has fit right in with the crowd here. Blake has fell in love with her ...and she has him.

        We are getting ready to take in 2  mares that belonged to some one in the community . They are older mares and need some major weight put back on them . We are hoping to get them here the first of next week. I will feel better knowing atleast they get to eat . Older horses can't be maintained on just hay etc and dieing grass in a pasture.

          Stayed tuned for updates on the new horses...

           We have a new horse in . Her name is Penny. She is a 15 year old Mustang . She is sorrel with a white blaze and 2 white socks. She is about 14.2 hands tall. She has a medical condtion called Heaves ...what the old time use to called being WIND BROKE. It is a respiratory condtion that makes it hard for her breathe at times. We have started treating her with steroid injections and if that don't work we will move on to something more agressive . Penny is broke to ride for any one and with some theraphy she can be used lightly as a childs horse or light adult.She is a sweetie pie and loves people .Keep checking back for pictures that are to come very soon.

            I am still waiting on the arrival of our first purebred arab foal that is due any day now. Our arabian mare Deztinee is in foal to our arab stallion Granmoshahn. Her due date is Oct 22 but she can go any day now . Please pray for Deztinee and baby. I am so nervous after what happened to my mare Brandy a few months ago .

The above pic is my stepson Blake ( he is 11 ) and Amos the gordon setter . Amos was rescued from the farm my husband managed when the owner wasgoing to shoot Amos when he wondered up at the layer chicken houses.My husband loaded Amos up in the truck and brought him home.I placed ads in the news paper and put flyers up everywhere and no one claimed him. He has been a member of our family for 3 years now. He is a sweetie of a dog. He lives with my Mom about 1.4 mile from me.He loves riding on the truck.

The above kitty is LISA Blake named her after Elvis's daughter Lisa Marie . All my kittys like the flower bed.

Hi all,

    Things are getting a little better for me after the loss of my brandy and her foal. It still hurts to go out in the morning and no see her sweet face . I know I will see her again one of these days.

    We have a new horse here at Helpahorse ...his name is Scotty . He is a 15 year old Thoroughbred Gelding. He is Blood Bay and 16.2 hands and a real sweetheart . He is my quarter stallions pasture mate now and they get along good.I will post some pics of him real soon.

    I have 3 new rescue kittens . One is a grey tabby tom that was about 4 weeks old . We got him at the Dollar General store in Dobson Nc. A security guard at a local textile mill was there and said the mom and her kittens were in the mill and they had done killed the mom and the others . She took the last kitten. So we took him home and one of my momma cats adopted him ..we call him Tiger. The other 2 is kittens that we found at the dumpster that some one had set out. One is  ablack and white Tom and the other is a grey calico . She has only one eye. Infection had gotten her other eye. We brought them home and doctored them up and gave them a flea bath and they are running round happy as can be now .

    Deztinee my arabian mare is due to have her foal very soon. I am so nervous after what happened to Brandy .I can't make my self get to excited about it cause I am afraid something will happen . Please everyone say a few prayers for my horse and for me .

    SOME BIG NEWS FOR HELPAHORSE ...I am designing and online store for the rescue. We will sell gently used items of all kinds and some new stuff to. It will not be limited to just horsey animal stuff. I will have everything on there.
